After serving in the military between 1999 and 2003, Armen Nahabedian turned his attention to building a career in oil and gas exploration. Originally an infantryman with the United States Marine Corps, he achieved the rank of Corporal (E-4). Before receiving his honorable discharge, Armen Nahabedian participated in such major overseas efforts as Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Returning to the United States, Mr. Nahabedian pursued his career in oil exploration in the San Joaquin Valley. Specifically, he worked in oil fields on behalf of his family’s business, the Nahabedian Exploration Group, LLC. Quick to establish himself as a talent in the industry, he soon earned a promotion to regional supervisor. In this professional capacity, he oversaw some of the deepest exploratory drilling efforts in California between 2004 and 2007.

In 2007, Armen Nahabedian assumed the role of Partner and continued as Operations Manager for the company. He performed a wide range of supervisory functions such as drilling coordination, logistics, and oversight of contractors, employees, and activities. In this executive role, Mr. Nahabedian further established himself in the industry through such accomplishments as the redevelopment of the Pastoria Creek Oilfield. Mr. Nahabedian also played a critical role as a Supervisor in the acquisition of 750,000 acres of leases and options.

Recently, Mr. Nahabedian has pursued career interests that include securities and public financing. Calling upon his expertise in the industry and the aid of several associates and legal experts, he started Citadel Exploration, Inc. in 2011. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Armen Nahabedian oversees all aspects of corporate functionality while building the company’s value for shareholders.
